1. You'll save a life! Each year in this country, 8 to 10 million lost and unwanted dogs and cats enter animal shelters. 4 to 6 million of them will be euthanized. The number of euthanized animals could be reduced dramatically if more people adopted pets instead of buying them. When you adopt from a shelter or rescue you'll help save the lives of two animals - the pet you adopt and a homeless animal somewhere who can be rescued because of space you helped free up by adopting! 25-30% of dogs for adoption in animal shelters are purebred. The other 70-75% are of course, lovable, wonderful, mixed-bred pets just waiting for a chance to be your new friend! |

Paradise is dedicated to finding the best homes for our once homeless pets. To make sure we meet this goal, we carefully examine all applications. We will check all personal references and veterinarians (if provided). All applicants dog adoptions are subject to a home visit.

 Microchips provide an extra level of protection in case your pet loses his collar and tags. Providing your cat or dog with both tags and a microchip can help ensure a happy reunion if the unthinkable happens and your companion gets lost. |
